Isn't all Physical Therapy the same?

All Physical Therapists who possess a valid license are qualified to practice and have a high level of training and skill. Not all therapists, however, go on to further their knowledge and abilities through post-graduate studies and training.
Therapists at Performance Physical Therapy have made the extra effort  to achieve Board Certification and obtain Advanced Training in Manual and Exercise Therapy. The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties recognizes those therapists who have met the requirements of experience, advanced training, contribution to the profession, and qualification by examination as Specialists.
Specialty fields range from Orthopedics and Neurology to Sports and Pediatrics and are similar in title to the specialties held by medical doctors. The significance of these specialties is that these therapists have put their training and knowledge on-the-line to be examined in an objective way by their peers and is thus an indicator of higher skill.
In addition to this credential, therapists at Performance Physical Therapy also hold certifications in various Manual Therapy and Exercise disciplines such as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA, long-term training programs from NAIOMT (the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy), and the URSA Foundation for osteopathic manual practice.
While it may be of some assurance to you that your Therapist has lots of letters after their name, please bear in mind that the ultimate measure of our performance is your results. And your success is our number one goal!
